Waste management within buildings is hard. It’s not only because it’s done manually at the moment (literally having to dig through trash) but the real reason it’s hard is because of the complexity in the items being thrown out. Waste (plastic, food, wrappers, etc.) comes in many sizes and shapes that belong in different bins depending on who your waste management company is and what technology their recycling facility is equipped with. To make things more difficult - these rules change very frequently due to changing packaging. This unfortunately is one of the many reasons why streamlining waste management across buildings and portfolios is hard for global enterprises.
In a partnership announcement earlier today - HqO, a leader in tenant experience operating system partnered with Vancouver based Intuitive AI, to make waste manageable using the Oscar Platform for its customers.
